# Overview

> Learn how the Fanify Hub API works and explore its main resources.

Fanify Hub lets you generate media and text with your Fanify credits. The API uses JSON, except for file uploads, and expresses every price in euros.

## Generation lifecycle

<Steps>
  <Step title="Choose a model">
    Call `GET /api/v1/hub/models`. The catalog is the same for every account. Prices reflect your membership status.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Submit the request">
    Send `{ model, input }` to `POST /api/v1/hub/generations` with an idempotency key.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Track its status">
    Use `GET /api/v1/hub/generations/{id}` or a [webhook](/en/hub/webhooks).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Retrieve the result">
    A successful generation contains its result in `outputs`. Media expires at the specified time.

  One generation represents one execution and one output. Submit multiple requests to create a batch.
